We had a pleasant experience. We got 5 nights in this lovely old fashioned hotel, loved it. The breakfast had good choice of options, including cereals, pastries, pancakes, eggs, and cheese. It was in an excellant location so close to the tourist places, beautiful Amsterdam, and very close to major museums.

Charming, Charming, Charming.
I loved the cozy, homey decor. The staff, especially Kim, provided personalized recommendations, made exploring the area so much easier! And the Van Gogh Museum just around the corner made my art-loving heart sing!
Totally recommend ❤️😍

Clean comfortable rooms (ask for no 9! - wood panelling, huge bed, bath as well as shower), free internet-enabled computer which was invaluable during current volcanic-ash crisis, helpful bilingual staff who translated Dutch travel-sickness pills instructions bought for enforced sea crossing and instantly agreed to extend our stay at no notice at all when our planes were cancelled. Nice breakfasts too, and good location in nice quiet area very near museums. Altogether a very good option in Amsterdam.

The hotel is a calm haven in the centre of Amsterdam. The staff is friendly, fast and relaxed. The room is simple but it offers more than the basic necessities and certainly adequate.
Breakfast is sufficient, but it might be a bit more extensive (they have boiled eggs and that is fine, but still, I like scrambled eggs at breakfast).

A surprise in a cozy nook
Waking up to the scent of fresh pastries was good! The hotel staff's warmth and personalized recommendations transformed my visit into something special. Thanks to Fay for the tips!
The lack of air conditioning was great. A fan helped, but it wasn't quite enough to cool the room.
